05/11/2009 Oncology Reimbursement Solutions Launches Audio Education Services

HOUSTON,  May 11 , 2009—Oncology Reimbursement Solutions (ORS), an oncology-focused billing and reimbursement service of US Oncology, Inc., is launching Oncology Reimbursement Connection, an audio reimbursement education program, to help practice staff stay current on rapidly changing billing and coding topics while earning CEU credits.

To benefit practice staff throughout the general oncology community by allowing them to tap into the knowledge of its team of professional coding experts, ORS developed Oncology Reimbursement Connection, a series of educational, oncology-specific audio conferences that have been approved by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for 1.0 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) per course hour.

ORS is distinct from other third-party billing and reimbursement companies due to the extensive oncology and reimbursement expertise of ORS leaders and staff who are responsible for processing approximately $8 billion in annual gross patient revenues for over 1,000 oncologists. This team includes advanced professional certified coders with experience in several areas of healthcare including physician offices, consulting roles, government and commercial payers, and drug reimbursement support.
