OncologyRx Care Advantage™ is a national specialty pharmacy that brings clinical oncology expertise to the delivery and management of oral therapies associated with cancer care. OncologyRx Care Advantage features the CARxES program (Chemotherapy Adherence and Prescription Education Support) that includes services provided by pharmacists, oncology certified nurses, and patient assistance coordinators to help reduce practice workload and optimize patient care.
Program services include: • performing insurance verification; • seeking co-pay assistance on behalf of the patient when necessary; • educating patients about their prescription directions and medications; • ensuring adherence through proactive weekly calls from oncology-certified nurses; • communicating back to the prescribing practice any issues relating to the patient’s compliance to therapy; • providing 24-hour access to oncology trained pharmacists.
