Dr. Lewinsky is very proactive in sharing information with other specialist which ensures all of the patients physicians are part of the process. We help them fully understand the prescribed treatment.

Dr. Lewinsky has developed special interest in Breast and Prostate cancers and has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed articles in the Medical literature and has also written several chapters in Medical textbooks. His main interest outside of the Medical field is Nature Photography. He believes there is a healing aspect and connection between nature photography and the human body and mind.

Bernard S. Lewinsky, MD, FACR

Medical Director of Los Angeles Radiation Oncology received his board-certification in Radiation Oncology in 1974. His undergraduate years were at UC Berkeley where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He received a master’s Degree in Biology from the University of Oregon in 1965. His medical training was at the University of California, Irvine. After a year’s internship at LA County-USC, he started his training at the Saroni Tumor Institute in San Francisco.

He spent a year of Fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, England, and then he completed his training at the West Coast Cancer Foundation in San Francisco in 1974.

After two years as Chief Radiation Oncologist at Letterman Army Medical Center, Dr. Lewinsky came to Los Angeles and Joined WTMG. Dr. Lewinsky has received the Medal of Commendation for his services in the Army and has been recognized as a fellow of the American College of Radiology.

Robert Zimmerman, MD

Robert Zimmerman, MD, is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine as a member in the honorary medical society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He served his medical internship at UCLA's San Fernando Valley Program at the Olive View Medical Center and the VA Sepulveda Medical Center in California. Dr. Zimmerman completed his Radiation Oncology residency at the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology in Los Angeles.

Dr. Zimmerman has done extensive research in cancer treatment and was the recipient of an American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Fellowship and a Radiological Society of North America Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. His scientific research work has resulted in numerous publications and presentations pertaining to Radiation Oncology. Dr. Zimmerman has served as Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology and is Board-Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. He has had extensive experience with High Dose Rate (HDR) implants for GYN cancer and Prostate Brachytherapy with permanent seed implants, as well being an early adopter of CT guided - Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) using the TomoTherapy Hi-Art system®.

Paul Song, MD

Dr. Paul Song graduated with honors from the University of Chicago and received his medical degree from George Washington University where he also served as Chief Resident and was honored by the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology as an ASTRO Research Fellow for 1995-96 by pursuing research in genetic radiotherapy. He was name one of the top doctors in Washington, D.C., by Washington Magazine and Consumer Checkbook in 2002 and 2005.

Dr. Song has established successful HDR and prostate seed brachytherapy, stereotatactic radiosurgery and IMRT programs and has published several articles on the treatment of prostate cancer and brain tumors.
