Dhiendra Patel, MD
Medical Director & Radiation Oncologist
Dhirendra J. Patel, MD is the Medical Director for Northern Arizona Tumor Institute. Dr. Patel received his board certification in Radiation Oncology in 1985. His undergraduate years were at JC College in Jamshedpur, India where he received a Bachelors degree in Biology. He received his medical degree at MGM Medical College in Jamshedpur, India in 1976. Dr. Patel completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Michael Reese – University of Chicago Center for Radiation Oncology in 1985.
Dr. Patel began his practice at Northern Arizona Tumor Institute (NATI) in 1987 in Prescott, Arizona and later opened practices in Prescott Valley and Chino Valley. His clinical areas of expertise include cancers of the breast, head & neck and prostate using Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT).
Dr. Patel is on the Board of Directors for the Association of Freestanding Radiation Oncology Centers (AFROC). He has served many appointments including Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Chairman for Tumor Board at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. Prior to moving to Prescott he was an Assistant Director and Chief of Radiation Oncology at Lincoln Hospital in New York and Assistant Professor for the Department of Radiation Oncology at New York Medical College. He has been a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology since 1986 and the Association of Free Standing Oncology Centers since 1990.
Mukund V. Patel, MD
Hematology and Medical Ocology
Dr. Patel completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center - University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Dr. Patel’s special interests include Breast cancer, Lung cancer and lymphoma’s.
