Together: A Better Way To Fight Cancer
At Southland Oncology our goal is simple: To provide superior treatment and compassionate care for those diagnosed with cancer. We offer an environment of wellness through education, innovative treatment options and ongoing support for patients and their families.
Southland Oncology is part of The US Oncology Network (“The Network”), a community of more than 1,400 affiliated physicians with expertise in medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, urology, oncology surgery and other specialties. We believe local cancer care is better care. Practices in The Network deliver advanced integrated cancer care supported by a network of independent physicians who share expertise and resources to provide quality, value-based care close to home. The Network practices have more than 400 sites of care in over 25 states and treat over 850,000 patients annually. The Network is supported by McKesson Specialty Health, an industry leader in solutions that empower the community patient care delivery system to advance the science, technology and quality of care.
We offer patients a compassionate team approach while ensuring access to innovative treatments with ongoing follow-up care. This team approach focuses on partnering with our patients’ primary care physicians and specialists; ensuring our patients’ entire care team understands the prescribed treatment and is continuously updated on their patient’s progress.
Paul Crossan, MD

Philosophy of Care: “Cancer is a disease that requires a multidisciplinary approach and close collaboration with the team is essential to providing excellent care. Central to the team is the patient. I believe that by listening and having honest, straight forward discussions regarding the goals of the individual we can create a successful treatment experience for the patient and team.”

Jay Ginde, MD
The treatment of cancer has evolved over the past 35 years with new innovations and techniques which have been very challenging and also rewarding. I believe in the multidisciplinary management of cancer, which means more than just providing medical or radiation therapy treatment. I believe firmly in patient education, which means helping you understand your condition, answering your questions and putting you in touch with community resources. We make your fight against cancer a team effort. Cancer can be a frightening experience and patients and their families have so many questions. Counseling and education support services is our major focus and is just as important as the treatment of cancer itself.
